2. The learned counsel for the petitioner, pleading innocence on the part of the petitioner, who has been in incarceration since 09.02.2026 and false implication in the case, seeks indulgence of this Court. He further submitted that the petitioner is a senior citizen and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.
3. The case of the prosecution as put forth by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police, opposing for grant of bail is that the petitioner committed penetrative sexual assault on a minor girl, who is aged about 14 years. He further submits that though the
learned counsel for the petitioner claims that the petitioner is a senior citizen, the offence alleged against the petitioner is not simple but a heinous offence of penetrative sexual assault on a minor victim girl and the investigation also is still pending.
4. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) for the respondent Police and perused the materials available on record, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail.
