GP FOR FINANCE PLANNING 3 The Court made the following Order: The present Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of Respondents in not releasing the financial assistance of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th installment of Rs.27,33,400/-, flight tickets charges of Rs.1,35,400/- and also Sevis and Visa fee of Rs.48,790/-, totalling to an amount of Rs. 29,17,982/-, to the 1st petitioner’s son, vide Application I.D. No.2023003194 under the ‘Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena’ scheme, as illegal and arbitrary. 2. The 1st petitioner’s son, by name Gandlaparthi Anil Kumar i.e., the 2nd respondent, applied for the Scholarship under ‘Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena’, scheme to pursue his studies abroad, vide Application ID No.2023003194, as he was selected to pursue his Master’s Course. On such application, he was selected for the Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena’ Scholarship. It is submitted that the respondents, after having approved the 1st petitioner’s son for the said financial benefit after completing the screening process, have not released the amount. Hence, the present Writ Petition is filed. 3. The learned Government Pleader representing the respondent submits that the application of the 2nd petitioner would be considered and amounts would be sanctioned, if the son of the 1st petitioner is within the conditions specified, for release of the amounts. 4. Considering the submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with the following directions:- 4 (i) The Respondents are directed to examine the claim of the son of Petitioner within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. (ii) In the event, the claim of the son of the petitioner is held to be in order, the Respondents are directed to release the amounts to him within a further period of eight (08) weeks. There shall be no order as to costs.
