Instant petition has been filed under Section 482 BNSS by the petitioner seeking pre-arrest bail in connection with Hirakud P.S. Case No.268 of 2025 corresponding to G.R. Case No.854 of 2025 pending in the court of learned J.M.F.C.-I (Cog. Taking), Sambalpur on the grounds stated. 3. Perused the F.I.R. at Annexure-1. 4. The assault by the petitioner is by means of an axe as revealed from the FIR and he has criminal antecedents. The case diary is produced and the same reveals past antecedents of the petitioner. The alleged assault is though with an axe but the medical examination report of the injured/victim reveals a laceration but with a sharp object recorded as a simple in nature. Considering the above facts and antecedents of the petitioner, the Court is inclined to direct the petitioner to p. 2 surrender before the learned court below to seek regular bail by the following order. 5. Accordingly, it is ordered. 6. In the result, the ABLAPL is disposed of. In the event, the petitioner surrenders within a fortnight from today and moves an application seeking regular bail in connection with G.R. Case No.854 of 2025 pending in the court of learned J.M.F.C.-I (Cog. Taking), Sambalpur, it is directed that the same shall be entertained during the first hour followed by an order and in the event of rejection, he is to approach the learned Sessions court during the second hour for orders on the same day and for the said purpose, the case records shall be made available. 7.
