The present petition has been filed under Sections 11 and 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 (“Contempt Act”), alleging disobedience of the directions, as passed vide order dated 02nd April, 2026 in CONT.CAS(C) 548/2026. 2. It is submitted that the statutory period granted for compliance has already lapsed, and the respondents have not complied with the directions, as contained therein. 3. Order dated 02nd April, 2026 passed in CONT.CAS(C) 548/2026, reads as under: “xxx xxx xxx This is a digitally signed order. Learned counsel for the respondent, who appears on advance notice submits, on instructions that the constitution of the review committee and representation committee would require the approval of the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor. It is submitted that appropriate steps are being taken for this purpose. 6. It is assured and undertaken that necessary compliance of the directions contained in the aforesaid order dated 17.02.2026 including consideration of the petitioner’s case in terms thereof, shall be completed latest within a period of eight weeks from today. xxx xxx xxx” 4. Issue notice. Notice is accepted by learned counsel appearing for the respondents, who submits on instructions that the order dated 02nd April, 2026 in CONT.CAS(C) 548/2026, stands complied with. 5. She submits that the Review Committee has already been convened, and its meetings have already taken place on 30th June, 2026 and 02nd July, 2026. 6. She further submits that the decision shall be communicated to the petitioner within a period of one week, from today. 7. The aforesaid statement is taken note of. 8.
