The present Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of the respondents in not releasing financial assistance of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs Only), sanctioned to petitioner No.2 under the ‘Videshi Vidya Deevana’ Scheme vide application No.OV2017113870, dated 04.02.2018, and fare ticket visa fee of Rs.60,000/-, totalling Rs.10,60,000/-, as illegal and arbitrary. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioner No.1 is the mother of Yandamuri Naga Dinesh, i.e., petitioner No.2, who is the son of petitioner No.1. 3. The petitioner No.2 had applied for financial assistance under the ‘Videshi Vidya Deevana’ Scheme, and was sanctioned on 04.02.2018, and the same was allotted with Application I.D.No.OV2017113870. After due verification, respondent No.3 sanctioned Rs.10,60,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs Sixty Thousand only) in favour of the petitioner No.2 for pursuing a Master’s Degree in Aerospace engineering at Sapienza Universita di Roma, Italy. The financial assistance as promised to petitioner No.2 was not disbursed. Hence, the present Writ Petition is filed. 3. The learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for the Respondents submits that the application of petitioner No.2 would be considered and the amount would be sanctioned, subject to the petitioner 4 HN, J W.P.No.26643_2026 No.2 satisfying the conditions specified for release of the amount. 4. Considering the submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with the following directions:- (i) The Respondents are directed to examine the claim of petitioner No.2 within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. (ii) In the event, the claim of the Petitioner No.2 is held to be in order, the Respondents are directed to release the amount to petitioner No.2 within a further period of eight (08) weeks. There shall be no order as to costs.
