Learned High Court Government Pleader submits that this writ petition is premature, having regard to the impugned Official Memorandum dated 18.10.2025, where the Deputy Commissioner, Mandya District, has formed a Committee to look into the grievances of many villagers who alleged that illegal and unauthorised layouts are formed in Survey No.27, 34/6, 34/7, 115 and 116 of Kyathmgere Village, Kothathi Hobli, Mandya Taluk. 3. It is the contention of the petitioner-Society that it has obtained permission from the government before purchasing the said lands, which are mentioned in the impugned official memorandum. Thereafter, the Society - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:10481 WP No. 1074 of 2026 purchased the lands under a registered sale deed dated 14.05.2012 and thereafter obtained an order of conversion and thereafter obtained a sanctioned layout plan at the hands of the Commissioner, Mandya Urban Development Authority as found at Annexure-F2. If that is the contention of the petitioner- Society, the petitioner-Society need not be worried about the constitution of the Committee at the hands of the Deputy Commissioner. Nevertheless, if any action is sought to be taken against the petitioner's-Society, it can be taken only in accordance with law. 4. With these observations, the writ petition stands disposed of.
