There is no representation on behalf of the petitioners even when the case is taken up for hearing in the second round. 2 2. Petitioners have filed this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India with following reliefs: “RELIEF SOUGHT: 10.1 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct respondent-authorities for payment interest under Section 80 of the Act, 2013. 3.2 Any other relief/ order may also be granted that may be deemed fit and just in the facts and circumstances of the case.” 3. Learned counsel for respondent No.4/NHAI submits that reliefs sought for by the petitioners cannot be granted as the amount of award has already been deposited way back on 13.12.2019 and possession of the subject land was taken over on 23.11.2021, as such, the relief which the petitioners are claiming regarding interest on delayed, payment of compensation amount cannot be granted. 4. Considering the aforesaid aspects of the matter, nature of reliefs as sought for by the petitioner, submission of counsel for respondent No.4/NHAI, for payment of interest no amount of interest can be granted to the petitioners as the amount of award has already been deposited prior to taking possession of the subject land, ie on 23.11.2021. 5.
