For the respondents : Mr. Pushpender Jaswal, Additional Advocate General for respondents – State. Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) By way of this writ petition, the petitioner has inter alia prayed for the following reliefs:- “i) Issue a writ of mandamus directing Respondent No. 1 to decide the Application for interim Stay (filed along with the Departmental Appeal dated 05.01.2026) within a period of two weeks and the main Appeal within a further period of four weeks thereafter; ii. Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction staying the operation, effect and implementation of the impugned termination order dated 03.01.2026 passed by Respondent No.2 till the decision of the Departmental Appeal by 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 Respondent No.1 or till the final disposal of the present writ petition, whichever is earlier;” 3. When this case was listed before the Court on 25.03.2026, the following order was passed by the Court:- “Issue notice. Mr. Rajpal Thakur, learned Additional Advocate General, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. As prayed for, list on 30.03.2026. On the said date, learned Additional Advocate General to have instructions as to how fast the authority shall take up the matter and decide the application preferred by the petitioner praying for interim relief.” 4. Learned Additional Advocate General submits that it would be in the interest of justice, in case, some reasonable time is granted to the Appellate Authority to decide the main appeal itself. Learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that some reasonable time can be granted to the Appellate Authority to decide the appeal but the same be granted with the observation that in case, within the time granted by the Court, the Authority failed to decide the main appeal, then some orders be passed on the interim application filed by the petitioner. 5. This petition is disposed of with the direction that the Authority shall decide the main appeal itself positively on or before 3 30.04.2026. If for any reason, the Authority is not able to decide the appeal by the said date, then needful be done by 15th of May, 2026 but in all eventualities, interim application filed by the petitioner be decided on or before 30.04.2026.
