The petitioner above-named is in custody since 29.07.2025 in connection with Dhalbhumgarh [Ghatshila] P.S. Case No.41 of 2025 for the offence registered under Sections 96, 137(1)(a) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023. It is submitted by the learned counsel on behalf of petitioner that gravamen of allegation against the petitioner is that he had enticed the victim-girl and kidnapped her for the purpose of marriage. It is contended that as per her birth certificate, she was aged about 17 years 8 months and she had left her home out of her own sweet-will without any inducement on the part of petitioner. It is further submitted that petitioner is aged 19 years and further he and victim girl had married. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail. Under the circumstances, the above-named petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/-(Twenty- Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Court below.
