ORDER: This writ petition is filed to declare the action of the respondents in action of the respondents in not releasing the amount of Rs.4,36,919/- vide M. book No. 524 / B / PRID / 2022-23, even after finalizing the bills, payable to the petitioner in relation to the works i.e., construction of BT road from Rajeswari Reddy fields to Pedda vanka in 23 / 2, Nittoor Village in Yadiki mandal, vide agreement No. 647 / GGMP / 2023-24, dated 14.02.2024 of the EE PRI Division, Anantapuramu, as is illegal, arbitrary and consequently, direct the respondents to pay Rs.4,36,919/- to the petitioner in respect of above- mentioned work. 02. It is the contention of the petitioner that even though the respondents admit that the petitioner is entitled to the aforesaid amount, no payment has been made. The petitioner further contends that such non-payment of money is clearly arbitrary and high-handed, requiring interference of this Court. 03. On the other hand, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Gram Panchayat and Rural Development, while admitting about the claim of the petitioner, placed on record a copy of written instructions received from the respondent No. 6, vide Lr.Rc.No. Supdt / Court Case / 2026, dated 05.09.2026, stating that since the government has discontinued the GGMP scheme, the bill for the balance amount of Rs. 4,28,412/- payable to the petitioner could not be processed in NIDHI portal due to non-availability of budget. 04. The learned counsel for the petitioner requested to pass appropriate order for the payment of the amount admitted in the written instructions. 3 BSB,J W.P.No.24460 of 2026

In view of the submissions made on both sides, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondents to pay an amount of Rs.4,28,412/- (four lakh twenty eight thousand four hundred twelve rupees only) to the petitioner, along with the interest, if any, at the rate entitled, within a period of two (02) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is open to the petitioner to agitate the claim for higher rate of interest, if any, payable by the respondents, before an appropriate forum. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. ________________________ JUSTICE B.S. BHANUMATHI
