GP FOR FINANCE PLANNING 4 The Court made the following Order:- The present Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of the Respondents in not releasing financial assistance of Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs only) to the son of the Petitioner, Veeramalla Venkata Nageswarao under application ID No.OV2018119707, as illegal, arbitrary, in violation of principles of natural justice and unconstitutional. 2. The Petitioner had applied for financial assistance under the ‘Videshi Vidya Deevena’ Overseas Scholarship Scheme for his son, Veeramalla Om sai Aravind under application ID No.OV2018119707. It is submitted that the Government had sanctioned the financial assistance of Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs only) in favour of the beneficiary as per G.O.Rt.No.174, dated 07.12.2017, read with G.O.Ms.No.29, dated 27.08.2016. However, despite sanction of the funds by the Government, the said financial assistance has not been released to the Petitioner. Hence, the present Writ Petition is filed. 3. Learned Government Pleader appearing for the Respondents submits that the application of the petitioner would be considered and the amounts would be released, if the petitioner is found to be within the conditions specified under the scheme. 4. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the respective parties, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with the following directions: 5 (i) The Respondents are directed to examine the claim of the Petitioner within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. (ii) In the event, the claim of the Petitioner is held to be in order, the Respondents are directed to release the amount to the Petitioner within a further period of eight (08) weeks. (iii) There shall be no order as to costs.
