No.24815 of 2026 ORDER: This writ petition is filed to declare the action of the respondents in non-payment of an amount of Rs.4,30,946/- (rupees four lakhs thirty thousand and nine hundred forty six only) due to the petitioner with interest of 24 % in respect of work ID. No.117151112021090025 vide M. book No.1158 / B, pursuant to the work executed for the construction of Grama Sachivalayam building at Puttayapalli of Puttayapalli G.P. of Badvel Mandal, as illegal, arbitrary and consequently, direct the respondents to pay an amount of Rs.4,30,946/- (rupees four lakhs thirty thousand and nine hundred forty six only) to the petitioner with interest in respect of execution of afore mentioned works. 02. It is the contention of the petitioner that even though the respondents admit that the petitioner is entitled to the aforesaid amount, no payment has been made. The petitioner further contends that such non-payment of money is clearly arbitrary and high-handed, requiring interference of this Court. 03. On the other hand, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Gram Panchayat and Rural Development, while admitting about the claim of the petitioner, placed on record a copy of written instructions received from the Executive Engineer, PIU (PR) Division, Kadapa @ Badvel, vide Lr.No. EE / PIU Division / BDVL / Court Cases WP. No. 24815 / 2026, dated 08.09.2026, stating that the bill for an amount of Rs. 4,28,802/- was uploaded in MGNREGS website, but at present the same website was closed and that after reopening of VB-RAMG website, again bill would be generated as per the revised guidelines. 3 BSB,J W.P. No.24815 of 2026 04. The learned counsel for the petitioner requested to pass appropriate order for the payment of the amount admitted in the written instructions. 05. In view of the submissions made on both sides, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondents to pay an amount of Rs.4,28,802/- (four lakh twenty eight thousand eight hundred two rupees only) to the petitioner, along with the interest, if any, at the rate entitled, within a period of two (02) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is open to the petitioner to agitate the claim for higher rate of interest, if any, payable by the respondents, before an appropriate forum. There shall be no order as to costs.
