By way of this interlocutory application, the applicant seeks impleadment of Sri Sanjiv Shyam, Commissioner and Special Secretary to the Government of Assam, PWD (Roads) Department, Dispur, Page No.# 2/2 Guwahati, Assam, as respondent No. 2 in the connected Cont.Cas(C) No. 105/2025. It appears that the earlier Commissioner and Special Secretary, Sri Chandan Sarma, having been transferred, the proposed respondent, Sri Sanjiv Shyam, has joined the post of Commissioner and Special Secretary to the Government of Assam, PWD (Roads) Department, Dispur, Guwahati, Assam. Accordingly, the presence of the new incumbent holding the post of Commissioner and Special Secretary to the Government of Assam, PWD (Roads) Department, is necessary for the effective adjudication of the connected contempt petition. Accordingly, the interlocutory application stands allowed. Sri Sanjiv Shyam, Commissioner and Special Secretary to the Government of Assam, PWD (Roads) Department, Dispur, Guwahati, Assam, is impleaded as respondent No. 2 in the connected contempt petition.
