JUSTICE MUNNURI LAXMAN Order 07/04/2026 1. On the request and with the consent of learned counsel appearing on behalf of both the parties, the present writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage. 2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the issue raised in the present writ petition is similar to the issue raised in the order dated 02.04.2026 passed by this Court in S.B. Civil Writ Petition No.7370/2026. [2026:RJ-JP:14415] (2 of 3) [CW-6233/2026] 3. The relevant paragraphs of the order dated 02.04.2026 (supra) read as follows: “4. Thus, in view of the submissions made and in order to maintain parity with the interim orders already passed by this Court, the respondents are directed to relieve petitioners forthwith so as to enable them to join respective college for the purpose of Senior Residency Course pursuant to the order dated 04.02.2026 (Annex.4), subject to the condition that last date of joining is extended by the respondents or that the respondent-Department of Medical and Health, permits the same otherwise. 5. The post which has been allotted to the petitioners in the respective colleges, shall be kept vacant for the petitioners.” 4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that till the decision is taken to extend the time to join the post for which she was allotted shall be kept vacant, if already not filled up. 5. Considering the aforesaid order dated 02.04.2026 and the request made by learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and after hearing learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents, the present writ petition is disposed of and the respondent No. 3 – The Director, Medical & Health Services is directed to relieve the petitioner forthwith so as to enable him to join the respective college for the purpose of Senior Residency, subject to the condition that if the last date of joining, as expired, is extended by respondent No. 2–Chairman, M.D./M.S./D.M./ M.CH. Candidates Allotment Board-2026, SMS Medical College, [2026:RJ-JP:14415] (3 of 3) [CW-6233/2026] then such a decision has to be taken within a period of one week from the date of receipt of this order. 6. Till such decision is taken, the post for which the petitioner was allotted shall be kept vacant, if already not filled. 7. All pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
