------ Pramit Raj
.... .... …. Petitioner
Versus The State of Jharkhand
.... .... .... Opp. Party
CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY
For the Petitioner : Mr. Shashikant Ojha, Advocate
For the State : Mr. Shiv Shankar Kumar, A.P.P. For the Informant : Mr. K.S. Nanda, Advocate ------
Order No.02 / Dated : 18.03.2026
Heard Mr. Shashikant Ojha, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. assisted by Mr. K.S. Nanda, learned counsel for the informant. The petitioner is an accused in connection with Lower Bazar Ranchi P.S. Case No. 224 of 2025 corresponding to G. R. No. 3764 of 2025. It has been alleged that the informant along with several other job aspirants had given a huge amount to the father of the petitioner and had also deposited some amount in the Account of the petitioner as they were assured that they will be given employment in the Jharkhand High Court. The aspirants were neither given any job nor the money was returned. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is the son of main accused- Raj Kumar and so far as the daughter of Raj Kumar namely Sanskriti Raj is concerned, she has been granted anticipatory bail by this Court in A.B.A. No.7137 of 2025. It has further been submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 02.10.2025. Mr. K.S. Nanda, learned counsel for the informant has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner and submitted that huge amount was deposited in the Account of the petitioner which distinguishes his case from that of the co-accused Sanskriti Raj, who has been granted anticipatory bail by this Court. Mr. Nanda has also referred to various paragraphs of the case diary in support of his contention. It appears from what has been submitted by Mr. K.S. Nanda and on perusal of the case diary that Raj Kumar along with the petitioner as well as Sanskriti Raj were involved in the entire episode of duping several persons on the assurance of providing them with job and so far as the son and daughter of Raj Kumar is concerned, their role primarily seems to be of some amount having been deposited in the Account. As noted above, the daughter
2026:JHHC:7444 of Raj Kumar namely Sanskriti Raj has been granted anticipatory bail in A.B.A. No.7137 of 2025. It is clear from the evidence of the witnesses in course of investigation that it is Raj Kumar, who was the person who was instrumental in alluring several job aspirants, who deposited a huge amount of money, but subsequently, neither the job was provided nor the money was returned.
Considering the aforesaid facts, the petitioner above named is
directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate, Ranchi in connection with Lower Bazar Ranchi P.S. Case No. 224 of 2025 corresponding to G. R. No. 3764 of 2025.
