Mr. Vinoda Nand Barthwal, learned counsel for the petitioner. 2. Mr. K.N. Joshi, learned Deputy Advocate General for the State of Uttarakhand. 3. Petitioner was engaged through a contractor for door-to-door collection of garbage. His engagement has been discontinued. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following reliefs:- (i) Issue a writ, order of direction in the nature of certiorari to quash the communication/order dated 04.12.2025 (Annexure No. 1 to the writ petitioner) passed by Respondent No. 5 under the direction of respondent no. 2 and 3. (ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to give appointment to the petitioner on the post of Sweeper in Municipality Pauri, Garhwal. (iii) Issue an order or direction to cancel the communication/order dated 04.12.2025 (Annexure No. 1 to the writ petitioner) passed by Respondent NO. 5 under the direction of respondent no. 2 and 3. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner be permitted to make a representation to the Competent Authority, who may be directed to take a decision within some stipulated time. 5. The writ petition is, accordingly, 2026:UHC:952 disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to make a representation to the Competent Authority (respondent no. 2) within two weeks from today. If the petitioner makes a representation within the stipulated time, the same shall be decided within six weeks, but only after hearing the version of the contractor concerned.
