The petitioner named above has been made accused in connection with Chanho P.S. Case No. 117 of 2025 for the offence registered under Sections 338, 336(3), 318(4) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Section 25(1-B)(a), 26 and 35 of the Arms Act, pending in the court of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Ranchi. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that except the case under the Arms Act, there is no material to show that the petitioner was involved in the present case for committing any offence under the B.N.S. 2023. Learned counsel for the State has opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that the petitioner has criminal antecedent and was involved in robbery, murder and extortion of 12 cases. Considering the serious nature of offence as well as the fact that the petitioner has criminal antecedent, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail.
