JUSTICE REKHA BORANA Order 27/07/2026 1. The present writ petition has been filed aggrieved of an apprehension that the services of the petitioners would be terminated after expiry of the 35 days period for which the agreement with the placement agency (respondent No.4) had been extended vide communication dated 08.06.2006 (Annexure-7). 2. Counsel for the petitioners submit that the impact and effect of communication dated 08.06.2026 is that the services of the petitioners would be terminated on the pretext that a new placement agency is to be appointed, which virtually would mean replacement of one set of contractual employees by another. 3. It is evident on record that till date no advertisement, whatsoever, has been issued by the respondent-Department for engagement of any new placement agency. Neither have the petitioners been served with any notice to terminate their services. In that event, it cannot be presumed or assumed that the petitioners would be replaced by another set of contractual [2026:RJ-JP:28856] (4 of 4) [CW-13111/2026] employees. The writ petition is hence dismissed, being pre- mature. 4. Needless to observe that if any tender is issued in favour of any other placement agency in future, the petitioners shall be given priority in appointment. 5.
