The applicant also challenges the Charges dated 06.03.2019 framed under sections Section 420/34, 467, 468, 471, 120-B of Indian Penal Code, Final Report No. 209/2018 dated 31.10.2018 for the offence punishable under Section 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B, 34 of Indian Penal Code and FIR bearing Crime No. 145/2008 dated 04.07.2008 registered at Police Station City Kotwali, District Raipur (C.G.) for the offence punishable under Section 420, 34 of Indian Penal Code (in respect of the present applicant only), in the interest of justice.” 3 Arguing at length, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as the case pertains to of the year 2018 and till date only one witness has been examined, therefore, the learned trial Court be directed to expedite the trial. 4 In view of the same, the instant petition stands disposed of with a direction to the trial Court to expedite the trial and conclude the same preferably within eight months from today. 5 A copy of this order be sent to concerned trial Court for necessary information and compliance forthwith.
