By virtue of order dated 21.11.2024, the appointment of Sh. Sobha Ram Gandhi, District and Sessions Judge (Retd.), as an arbitrator came to be ordered in an arbitration petition No. 90/2024 preferred by the petitioner-M/s AP Educational Trust. 2. Learned Arbitrator entered upon the reference and commenced the arbitration proceedings w.e.f. 21.12.2024 onwards. 3. As the arbitration proceedings are still in state of currency but yet to be concluded but in the meantime, period of six months as envisaged under section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 having come to an end, as such, the present application has come to be made by the parties to the arbitration both being on the same page that the arbitration proceedings are going on in a very serious and earnest manner without wastage of time and energy at the end of all the stakeholders including that of the learned arbitrator, as such, this Court finds sufficient cause made out, supplemented by the mutual consensus of the parties, that the Supp. List-1 Serial No. 122 2 Arb P No. 42/2026 time needs be extended for the arbitrator to carry on with the arbitration proceedings and conclude the same within the extended period of next five months reckoning from the date of expiry of the first installment of reference period w.e.f. 27.05.2026. 4.
