Petitioner’s father was employee as Ward Boy in Primary Health Centre Mundlana, Gurukul Narsan, Tehsil Roorkee, District Haridwar, who died while in service on 30.12.2022. 3. Petitioner applied for compassionate appointment. His request was rejected by Joint Director, Medical Health, Garhwal Region vide order dated 28.11.2025. Petitioner thereafter made another representation questioning the validity and ground taken for rejection of his representation. 4. It was contended by the petitioner that rejection of his request only on the ground that his brother is employed under the State is unsustainable and as per the Rules, compassionate appointment can be denied only if one of the spouse of the deceased government is employed under the State or Central Government. 5. The representation made on 01.12.2025 is 2026:UHC:255 said to be pending before the Joint Director. Petitioner has sought a direction to the Joint Director to take decision on the said representation. 6. Having regard to the facts of the case, the writ petition is disposed of by permitting the petitioner to make fresh representation to the Joint Director. If he makes such representation within two weeks from today, decision thereupon shall be taken, as per law, within four months thereafter. (Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J.) 06.01.2026 Mahinder/
