Ms. No. 228, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development (E & R) Department, dated 31.12.2018 merging the Uranduru Gram Panchayat into the limits of Srikalahasti Municipality by taking unilateral decision without conducting enquiry / grama sabha, etc., and without following the procedure contemplated under the Act, as illegal, arbitrary, highhanded and contrary to the provisions of A.P.Municipalities Act and A.P. Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 and consequently, set aside the G.O. Ms. No. 228, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development (E & R) Department, dated 31.12.2018 in relation to Uranduru Gram Panchayat, Srikalahasti Mandal, Chittoor District. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that in view of the developments regarding the subject matter after filing of the writ petition, the relief sought in the present writ petition has become infructuous and requested to dispose of the writ petition recording the same. 3.
