PATIL) This writ appeal is filed seeking the following prayer: “(a) Allow this writ appeal and set aside the order dated 27.09.2023 passed by the learned single judge in W.P.No.17654/2023; (b) Allow W.P.No.17654/2023 as prayed for; (c) Grant such other relief or reliefs as this Hon’ble Court may deem fit in the circumstances of the case, including costs of this writ appeal; - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:8589-DB WA No. 1393 of 2023 in the interest of justice and equity.” 2. At the outset, learned AGA raises an objection with regard to the maintainability of the appeal by citing the decision of the Co-ordinate Bench in the case SRI.P.N. NARASIMHA MURTHY vs. REGIONAL TRANSPORT AUTHORITY AND ANOTHER passed in Writ Appeal No.912/2025, disposed of on 11.12.2025. 3. Learned AGA further submits that without going into the merits of the case, the State has filed a memo on 05.06.2026, wherein it was stated that the application of the appellants would be considered by the respondent No.2 – Authority. 4. Considering the said memo and on oral instructions, received by the learned AGA submits that the consideration would be within a period of eight weeks from today. The said submission is placed on record. Writ appeal is disposed of, keeping open all the contentions urged in the appeal. - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:8589-DB WA No. 1393 of 2023 5. The Authority as undertook, shall consider the applications of the appellants and disposed of the same in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from today.
