71 05-02-2026 (ct. no. 28) KOLE Rejected 265700 CRM (A) 223 of 2026 In re: An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the BNSS in connection with Hanskhali Police Station Case No. 867 of 2025 dated 29.10.2025 under Sections 126(2)/117(2)/118(2)/109(1)/3(5) of the BNSS. - A n d - In the matter of : Subhankar Biswas .... Petitioner. Mr. P. Majumdar, … For the Petitioner. Mr. Aniket Mitra, Ms. A. Begum, … For the State. Heard learned Advocates appearing for the petitioner and the State. The prosecution case is that the petitioner was the principal accused who committed assault on the victim as a result of which five stitches had to be given at the private part of the victim. Considering the serious nature of the allegations and the materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail to the accused/petitioner. The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, dismissed. ( Jay Sengupta, J. )
