JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER The grievance of the petitioner is that respondent No.4 - Tahsildar, Mysuru Taluk has failed to consider the representation given by the petitioner for mutation in the revenue records pursuant to the compromise decree drawn by the learned Civil Judge (Junior Division) and JMFC, Mysuru in O.S.No.573/2018. The learned counsel submits that the petitioner had infact filed an appeal before the Assistant Commissioner in proceedings No.RA.48/2019 and an order was passed by the Assistant Commissioner on 06.02.2019 and the Assistant Commissioner has allowed the appeal while directing the Tahsildar, Mysuru Taluk to make mutation entries in terms of the decree passed by the Civil Court. 2. Learned Additional Government Advocate however submits that the petitioner never gave - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:19844 WP No. 10781 of 2026 representation to the Tahsildar, he straight away filed an appeal before the Assistant Commissioner. 3. Nevertheless, having regard to the provisions contained in Sections 127 and 128 of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964, it is the bounden duty of the Tahsildar to enter the names of the parties in terms of the decree passed by the competent Civil Court. The Tahsildar need not to await the orders of the Assistant Commissioner to be uploaded in the website. 4. Accordingly, writ petition stands disposed of with a specific direction to respondent No.4-Tahsildar, Mysuru taluk to look into the decree passed by the Civil Court in O.S.No.573/2018, issue notice to all concerned and thereafter proceed to enter the names of the parties in the revenue records in terms of the decree passed by the Civil Court. The entire exercise shall be completed as - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:19844 WP No. 10781 of 2026 expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
