JUSTICE SACHIN SHANKAR MAGADUM ORAL ORDER The captioned writ petition is filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing respondents 1 to 3 to take immediate and necessary action to register an FIR against respondents 4 to 6 for the alleged commission of offences of forgery, cheating, fabrication of documents and criminal intimidation. 2. Learned AGA, on instructions, would submit that the representations produced at Annexures–“E” and “F” are addressed to the Assistant Director of Town Planning, BBMP and the Assistant Revenue Officer, BBMP. However, a perusal of the said representations as well as the averments made in the writ petition and the prayer would not disclose specific - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:15477 WP No. 3266 of 2025 particulars relating to the alleged commission of cognizable offences. No formal complaint, containing necessary details to set the criminal law in motion, is forthcoming from the records so as to warrant a direction from this Court for registration of a crime. 3. In the absence of material particulars disclosing a cognizable offence and in view of the vague and defective pleadings, this Court is of the opinion that the petition does not merit consideration.
