Neeraj v. Devinder Singh Jalta and Anr. CrMP No. 2132 of 2026 in Cr.R. No. 180 of 2023 29.05.2026 Present: Ms. Anita, Advocate vice Ms. Anu Tuli Azta, Advocate, for the applicant/respondent No.1. Mr. Rakesh Thakur, Advocate, for non- applicant/petitioner. Mr. Rajan Kahol & Mr. Vishal Panwar, Additional Advocates General and Mr. Anish Banshtu, Deputy Advocate General, for the State. By way of instant application, prayer has been made by the applicant/respondent No.1 for release of amount lying deposited with the Registry of this Court. No reply is intended to be filed by the non- applicants to the application. Bare perusal of pleadings as well as other material adduced on record reveals that Criminal Revision No. 180 of 2023, having been filed by the non-applicant/petitioner laying therein challenge to judgment dated 1.8.2022 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-II, Solan, District Solan, Himachal Pradesh, in Criminal Appeal No. 25ASJ-II/10-2018, affirming judgment of conviction and order of sentence dated 4.5.2018 passed by the learned JMFC-1, Solan, District Solan, Himachal Pradesh in Criminal Case No. 530/3 of 2014, was ordered to be compounded by this Court exercising power under Section 147 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, with direction that amount lying deposited with the learned trial Court shall be released in favour of the applicant/respondent. Though in terms of afore order, amount lying deposited before the learned trial Court, has been already released in favour of the applicant, but some amount lying deposited with the Registry of this Court, has not been released till date. Since it is not in dispute that matter stands settled inter-se parties and in terms thereof, the amount needs to be released in favour of the applicant, this Court sees no impediment in directing the Registry of this Court to release the amount, lying deposited with it, by remitting the same in his saving bank account, detail whereof shall be furnished by the applicant/respondent, within one week. The application is disposed of. May 29, 2026 (Sandeep Sharma), manjit Judge
