In this petition petitioner is assailing the Election Notice dated 13.03.2026 (Annexure-A) issued by the Respondent No.2 inter alia sought for a direction to Respondent No.2 to conduct general elections to Respondent No.3-Society afresh in terms of Rule 14 of the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Rules, 1960 (hereinafter referred to as "the Rules). 3. Heard Sri.Hanumantharayappa.K and Sri.Dhananjaya.P.K, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Yogesh D.Naik, learned Additional Government Advocate for the Respondents No.1 and 2. 4. It is argued by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner by referring to Rule 14 of the Rules, that the - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:17378 WP No. 9765 of 2026 respondents have issued the impugned Election Notice at Annexure A without following the procedure contemplated under Rule 14 of the Rules and therefore sought for interference by this Court. 5. Per contra, learned AGA, submitted that, the Election Notice has been issued specifying the date of election on 28.03.2026 and further contended that the Respondent Authorities by following Rule 14(1) and Rule 14(3) of the Rules have issued Form No.12 specifying the date of election as 28.03.2026 and in that view of the matter, no interference is called for in this writ petition. 6. Having taken note of the submission made by the learned counsel for the parties and on careful consideration of Form No.12, produced at Annexure-A under Rule 14(3) of the Rules, makes it clear that the respondent authorities have followed the mandate of Rule 14 of the Rules. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:17378 WP No. 9765 of 2026 7. In that view of the matter, I am of the view that no interference is called for in this petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed.
