Petitioner has filed this writ petition, seeking following reliefs:- “10.1 That this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to set aside the order dated 30.01.2026 (Annexure P/1). Learned counsel for petitioner submits that petitioner is an employee of respondent department and is working on the post of Accountant (on contract basis) vide Annexure P-1 dated 20.01.2026. Petitioner has been ordered to get retire on attaining the age of 62 years referring to the fundamental Rule 56 which is not applicable to the service of petitioner. He submits that respondent no. 3 has written letter to respondent no. 1 apprising aforementioned facts and sought his guidance with regard to continuation of petitioner in service as contract employee, however, it is still pending before respondent no. 1, therefore, respondent no. 1 be directed to take decision on letter dated 15.01.2026. 3. Learned counsel for respondents submits that as petitioner is not pressing this writ petition on merits and is only seeking direction to respondent no. 1 to take decision on the letter written by respondent no. 3, she is having no objection to the limited prayer. 4. On due consideration of submission made by learned counsel for respective parties, this writ petition at this stage, is disposed of directing respondent no. 1 to consider and take decision on letter written on 15.01.2026 of respondent no. 3, in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably within a further period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of the Order. 3 / 3 5.
