LISA GILL, CJ:
Prayer in this writ appeal is for setting aside order dated 07.01.2026 passed in WP.No.25863 of 2023.
2. Appellant – writ petitioner filed aforesaid writ petition challenging action of respondent Nos.2 to 4 in opening and maintaining rowdy sheet No.751/2023. Learned Single Bench recorded the stand of respondents, as stated in the counter, that three cases are pending against writ petitioner and a close watch is being maintained against unlawful activities of writ petitioner as there is every chance of repetition of offences and that in view of public interest and to safeguard residents of vicinity, rowdy sheet was opened against writ petitioner. Learned counsel representing writ petitioner had

submitted that recording the same, writ petition may be disposed of, which was accordingly done.
3. As noted above, writ petition had been disposed of on the specific statement of learned counsel for writ petitioner; still present writ appeal has been filed. We take note of the fact that learned counsel for respondents had specifically stated before this Court that petitioner is involved in two cases and after filing of charge sheets therein, he has not been called to police station after 14.07.2026. This had been refuted by learned counsel for appellant, who had sought time to file an affidavit of appellant in this regard. Affidavit, dated 07.09.2026 has been filed wherein it is admitted that police have not called upon him since 14.07.2026.
4. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances as above, there is no ground for interference in the matter.
5. Writ Appeal is accordingly dismissed. No costs. Pending application(s) if any stand(s) disposed of accordingly.
