Petitioner has filed this writ petition with a prayer to direct the respondent-Bank to defreeze the account, maintained by the petitioner with Federal Bank. 2. Learned counsel for the respondent-Bank submits that account of the petitioner has been freezed on the basis of information provided by the Investigating Authority. The said statement made by learned counsel for the respondent-Bank is supported by the respondent-Department. 4. There is nothing on record to show that any complaint has been received by the Investigating Authority, nor copy of any FIR or cyber crime complaint is on record. Under these circumstances, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for granting liberty to approach the Competent Authority in view of Clause 10 of Grievance Redressal Mechanism of Section-III of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) dated 02.01.2026 issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs. 5. In view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court deems it just and proper to dispose of the present writ petition by granting liberty to the petitioner to avail his remedy under the aforesaid SOP and the Authorities are directed to dispose of the grievance of the petitioner within the timeframe given in the SOP. 6. Accordingly, the present petition stands disposed of. 7. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on merits of this case. 8.
