Petitioners have filed this writ petition seeking following reliefs: “10.1 That, this Hon'ble court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent No.-2 to consider case of the petitioners for promotion for the post of Agriculture Development Officer, within stipulated period. 10.2 That, this Hon'ble court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent No.-2 to consider and decide an application dated 02.01.2026 (Annexure P-4) within stipulated period.” 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners were initially appointed as Surveyor and after completion of requisite period of service, they became eligible for promotion to the post of Agriculture Development Officer. When petitioners were not considered for their promotion on the post of Agriculture Development Officer, they have submitted representation before respondent no.2 on 02.01.2026 which is pending consideration and therefore a direction be issued to respondent No. 2 to take decision on representation within specified time frame. 3. Learned counsel for the State submits that in view of limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners, he is having no objection. 4. On due consideration of submission of learned counsel for the parties, nature of grievance raised in this writ petition, it is disposed of directing respondent No.2 to take decision on pending representation 4 / 4 of petitioners in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably within period of 3 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
