Alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 21st October, 2024 passed by this Court in Writ Petition No.10597 of 2024, this Contempt Petition has been filed. By the order dated 21st October, 2024, this Court had directed Respondent No.3, i.e., Block Development Officer, as well as Respondent No.4, i.e., Sarpanch Gram Panchayat Dingore, Taluka Junnar, District Pune, to consider the representation dated 10th August, 2023 filed by the Writ Petitioner/Contempt Petitioner. It appears that, in the said Writ Petition, the Petitioner had basically sought review/alteration Gauri Gaekwad 1 of 2 GAURI AMIT GAEKWAD Digitally signed by GAURI AMIT GAEKWAD Date: 2026.09.23 15:39:59 +0530 18.CP-35-2025.odt of the property tax sought to be imposed upon him. 2. In the reply filed on behalf of Respondent Nos.1 and 2, a copy of the order dated 13th November, 2024 has been annexed, which goes to show that the representation of the Petitioner has been considered, but the same has been rejected by necessary implication. 3. The learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that he does not want to file any rejoinder. 4. In view thereof, we are of the view that this proceeding would not survive on the ground of contempt of the order passed by this Court. 5. We, therefore, close the Contempt Petition by granting liberty to the Petitioner to assail the order dated 13th November, 2024 in accordance with law, if necessary. (GAUTAM A. ANKHAD, J.)
