This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, claiming the following direction: “to issue an appropriate Writ order or direction mostly one which is in the nature of a Writ of mandamus declaring the inaction of the Respondents 4 to 6 in restoration of power supply to the service connection bearing service SC No 2223301050942 of Kotte Subbarayudu Chenamsetty Ramachandraiah Garla Kalyana Mandapam Yerrakuntla Road Proddatur YSR Kadapa District as illegal irregular arbitrary unjustified unconstitutional unreasonable and unsustainable and direct the Respondents 4 to 6 to forthwith restore the power supply to the petitioner Kalyana Mandam” 2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents. 3. The case of the petitioner is that the respondents 4 to 6, without issuing any prior notice or assigning any valid reason or justification, disconnected the petitioner’s service connection bearing SC.No.2223301050942 of Kotte Subbarayudu, Chenamsetty Ramachandraiah Garla Kalayam Mandapam, Yerrakuntla Road, Proddatur, YSR Kadapa District. Aggrieved by the action of the respondents, the petitioner filed the present Writ Peition. During the pendency of the Writ Petition, this Court passed interim direction, dated 17.03.2016, which reads as under:- “Prima facie, there is no notice issued as required under Section 56 of the Electricity Act, 2003 before resorting to disconnection. In that view of the matter, effecting of disconnection of power supply cannot be sustained. Therefore, the respondents 4 to 6 shall restore the power supply to the service connection of the petitioner forthwith.” 4. On the other hand, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents has placed on record the Written Instructions furnished by the 6th respondent herein. Wherein, it is stated that, in view of the interim direction, 4 dated 17.03.2016, the electricity power supply to the petitioner was restored and has remained in live status. 5. In view of the aforesaid submission, the grievance of the petitioner has already been redressed and the electricity power supply of the petitioner has been restored. Therefore, no cause survives for further adjudication in the present writ petition. 6. Accordingly, writ petition is closed as infructuous. No costs. 7.
