The petitioners namely Arshpreet and Josheel have approached this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for seeking directions to official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of private respondents No.4 to 6.
Learned counsel for the petitioners inter alia contends that the petitioners are major and are staying together in live-in relationship. However, their relationship is not acceptable to the private respondents and as a result thereof, the private respondents are threatening the petitioners. A representation dated 16.04.2026 (Annexure P-3) against the threat extended at the hands of the private respondents already stands submitted by the petitioners to the respondent No.2- Superintendent of Police, District Jind. The petitioners apprehend threat to their lives and claim that there is a constant danger of them being implicated in a false case. Notice of motion restricted to respondents No.1 to 3 only. Pursuant to supply of advance copy, Mr. Vikram Singh, AAG Haryana accepts notice on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3. He has no objection if appropriate direction for providing requisite protection to the SUMIT SINGH GUSAIN 2026.04.16 19:10 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
