The petitioner is an accused in connection with POCSO Case No. 3 of 2026 arising out of Mirzachowki P.S. Case No. 80 of 2025. It has been alleged that the petitioner has committed rape upon the minor daughter of the informant and on disclosure when the family members of the victim started searching for the petitioner, another minor girl of the neighbourhood disclosed that a month back, she was also subjected to rape by the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been implicated on account of the dispute with Amarnath Sah for which a partition suit is also pending between the parties. He further submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 30.10.2025. Learned A.P.P. for the State has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. It appears that in course of investigation, both the victim girls have supported the allegations made against the petitioner. Regard being had to the nature of offence as alleged, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and accordingly this application stands rejected. (Rongon Mukhopadhyay, J) R. Shekhar Cp 3
