The petitioner claims that he is the owner of the property, morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition. He has submitted online applications on 12.02.2026 to the respondents seeking for survey and sub divide the lands, morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition and for issuance of separate patta in his name. Since the same have not been considered till date, https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 12545 of 2026 the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 3. Mr. C. Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3. Mr. V. Meganathan, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 4 to 6. 4. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner’s online applications both dated 12.02.2026. 5. No prejudice will be caused to the respondents 2 and 3 if the said authorities are directed to consider the online applications both dated 12.02.2026 submitted by the petitioner seeking for survey and sub division of the lands, morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition and for issuance of separate patta, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections if any from the neighbouring land owners as well as any other party whom they deem it fit to enquire, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 6.For the foregoing reasons, this writ petition is disposed of by issuing the following directions: a)The respondents 2 and 3 are directed to survey and sub divide the lands, morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, after hearing the objections if any from the neighbouring land owners as well as any other party https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 12545 of 2026 whom they deem it fit to enquire, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order; b) If the petitioner is eligible for the issuance of separate patta in his name for the property surveyed and sub divided by the respondents 2 and 3, the second respondent shall issue patta for the property in favour of the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date when the survey and sub division of the lands are completed after hearing all the necessary parties; c) If the need arises for police assistance and on a request made by the second respondent, the sixth respondent shall render police assistance for the effective implementation of this order.
