The petitioner- abovenamed who is in custody since 15.05.2025 in connection with Murhu (Khunti) P.S. Case No.54 of 2024 for the offence registered under Sections 115(2), 117(2), 109 and 103(1) of BNS, 2023. It is submitted by the learned counsel on behalf of petitioner that he is not named in the FIR and further, there is no direct or circumstantial evidence against him. The only material is recovery of a knife, said to be a weapon of offence seized on the basis of disclosure statement made by him and the said recovery of weapon was made after 8-9 months of the occurrence. The petitioner has been implicated in the case after nine months of the occurrence. Learned A.P.P. opposed the prayer for bail. It appears that there is no direct evidence to the occurrence and the motive has also not been disclosed either in the FIR or in the statement of the witnesses. Accordingly, the above-named petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/-(Twenty-Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Court below.
