Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioners is taken on record. 2. Petitioners by presenting this writ petition have prayed for police protection. It is alleged on behalf of the petitioners that private respondents outraged modesty of petitioner nos. 2 and 3 which gave rise to criminal prosecution being Ausgram P.S. Case No. 137/26 dated 9th April, 2026. 2 3. Learned advocate representing private respondents has disputed submission made on behalf of the petitioners. 4. Learned advocate representing State respondents has filed a communication dated 18th April, 2026 of Inspector-in-Charge, Ausgram Police Station, Purba Bardhaman and same is taken on record. Copies of said communication are made over to the learned advocates representing the petitioners and private respondents. 5. It is disclosed in the aforesaid communication that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioners a criminal prosecution being Ausgram P.S. Case No. 137/26 dated 9th April, 2026 was initiated. It is also stated in the communication that police assistance be provided to the petitioners, if it is found required. 6. In view of contents of such communication dated 18th April, 2026 this Court does not find impediment in giving direction upon the concerned police authorities to provide assistance to the petitioners, if it is required. 7. Accordingly, Inspector-in-Charge, Ausgram Police Station being respondent no. 6 is 3 directed to provide assistance to the petitioners, if situation so arises. 8. With the aforesaid direction writ petition stands disposed of. 9. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
