T S RAYALU The Court made the following: 3 ORDER: This Contempt Case is filed under Sections 10 to 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 for willful, wanton and deliberate disobedience in implementation of the order passed by this Court on 07.01.2026 in W.P.No.29618 of 2025. 2. Aggrieved by the action of the respondents/contemnors in not releasing the final bill amount of Rs.1,61,90,257/- for the works executed by the petitioner pursuant to agreement No.16DC/2021-22, the petitioner filed W.P.No.29618 of 2025, wherein, this Court passed the following order on 07.01.2026: “7. In view of the facts and circumstances submitted in the affidavit, and the directions of this Court in various cases and after hearing the submissions of learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to release the amounts to the petitioner in accordance with the quality control certificates 1) dated 08.02.2023 for a sum of Rs.1,46,92,509/- and 2) dated 10.04.2023 for a sum of Rs.14,97,748/- issued by the respondents, within a period of six (06) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.” 3. Heard learned counsel on either side. 4. Today when the matter came up for hearing, learned counsel for the respondents/contemnors furnished a copy of instructions of the Principal Secretary to Government, Finance Department bearing letter NO.FIN01- FMU0MISC/350/2022(1778130), dated 11.09.2026 wherein it is stated that 4 pursuant to the orders passed by this Court, an amount of Rs.1,68,70,927/- was paid to the petitioner on 11.09.2026 vide bill bearing No.2026-71457991. The same is also admitted by learned counsel for the petitioner. 5. In view of the fact that the orders passed by this Court have been complied, this contempt case is closed.
