Applicant-appellant has been sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of 20 years and to pay a fine of Rs.5,000/- [Rupees Five Thousand] for the commission of offence punishable under Section 4 (2) of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences [POCSO] Act], 2012 and in default of payment of fine, applicant-appellant shall have to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of one month, in Sessions Trial CIS No.10 of 2020, arising out of FIR No.45 of 2019, registered at Police Station Sangla, District Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh, and is serving his sentence in Model Central Jail, Kanda, District Shimla, H.P.

This application has been filed against conviction, with delay of 80 days in filing the appeal.

Considering the averments made in the application and submissions made by learned counsel appearing for the applicant-appellant, delay in filing appeal against conviction, is condoned.
