T S RAYALU The Court made the following: 3 ORDER: This Contempt Case is filed under Sections 10 to 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 for willful, wanton and deliberate disobedience in implementation of the order passed by this Court on 22.12.2025 in W.P.No.22141 of 2025. 2. Aggrieved by the action of the respondents/contemnors in withholding the payment of amount payable to the petitioner pursuant to the work executed by him, the petitioner filed W.P.No.22141 of 2025, wherein, this Court passed the following order on 22.12.2025: “6. In view of fact that the amounts payable to the petitioner are admitted by the respondents, instead of keeping the writ petition pending, this writ petition is disposed of and the respondents are directed to pay the admitted amounts payable to the petitioner, within a period of four (4) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs...” 3. Heard learned counsel on either side. 4. Today when the matter came up for hearing, learned counsel for the respondents/contemnors furnished a copy of instructions of the Principal Secretary to Government, Finance Department bearing letter NO.FIN01- FMU0MISC/350/2022(1778130), dated 11.09.2026 wherein it is stated that pursuant to the orders passed by this Court, an amount of Rs.37,91,294/- (Rs.6,46,910/- vide bill No.2025-2479892 dated 19.03.2026, Rs.19,60,716/- vide bill No.2025-2461970, dated 19.03.2026 and Rs.11,83,668/- vide bill 4 No.026-71395844 dated 11.09.2026) was paid to the petitioner. The same is also admitted by learned counsel for the petitioner. 5. In view of the fact that the orders passed by this Court have been complied, this contempt case is closed.
