Mr. Pradeep Hairiya, Standing Counsel for the State of Uttarakhand. 3. Petitioner is serving as Assistant Teacher, L.T. Grade. Vide order dated 13.09.2024, passed by Additional Director (Secondary), Kumaon, her request for transfer from durgam to sugam area was rejected. Thus, feeling aggrieved, petitioner filed this writ petition. 4. According to learned counsel for the petitioner, even though petitioner has completed more than 18 years of service at durgam place, however, her claim for transfer to sugam place is not being considered. He submits that the procedure followed by the authorities of Education Department is faulty, inasmuch as persons, who were considered for transfer from durgam to sugam, are again being considered in subsequent years and due to that reason petitioner’s claim was not considered for transfer to a sugam place. 5. Learned State Counsel submits that writ petition can be disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to re-visit the issue and take decision regarding petitioner’s transfer to a sugam place. 2026:UHC:900 6. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of by directing the Regional Director (Secondary Education), Kumaon, Nainital to re-consider petitioner’s claim for transfer to a sugam place.
