2. This writ petition was filed in 2020, seeking following relief:
“A writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the District Magistrate, Udham Singh Nagar to decide Election Petition No. 51/01 year 2018-19 Preetam Singh Vs. Sri Malkit Singh and others within a period of three months or within such period as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper.”
3. Learned State Counsel submits that Election Petition filed by petitioner has been decided. He further points out that the term for which respondent No. 2 was elected is also over.
4. Having regard to the
facts and circumstances of the case and also the

2026:UHC:7064 statement made by learned State Counsel, this Court is of the considered opinion that the relief as claimed by petitioner do not survive.
5. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
