IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 149 of 2026
Brajesh Kumar @ Brajesh Singh, S/o Kabi Singh, R/o Village-Shamshera, PO & PS-Kaliga, District-Gumla
… … Petitioner Versus The State of Jharkhand
… … Opposite Party
CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJESH SHANKAR -----
For the Petitioner
: Mr. K.S. Nanda, Advocate
For the State
: Mrs. Anuradha Sahay, A.P.P. ----- 02/20.02.2026 Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2.
The petitioner is an accused for the offence punishable under Section 305(b) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
3.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner’s bail application was earlier rejected by a Bench of this Court vide order dated 16.10.2025 passed in B.A. No. 7779 of 2025. By way of present application, the petitioner has renewed his prayer for regular bail primarily due to the reason that he is in judicial custody in connection with the present case since 30.03.2025. The charge against the petitioner has already been framed on 02.08.2025 as has been stated in paragraph-11 of the present bail application. Hence, he may be given the privilege of regular bail.
4.
Learned A.P.P. opposes the petitioner’s prayer for bail.
5.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner above named is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ranchi in connection with Lalpur P.S. Case No. 89 of 2025, corresponding to G.R. No. 1409 of 2025.
