JUSTICE YARENJUNGLA LONGKUMER ORDER 19/03/2026 The instant application under Section 447 of the BNSS is a Suo Moto application taken up by the Registry of this Court basing on the letter Page No.# 2/2 dated 18.12.2025 written by the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Kohima, Nagaland to transfer the criminal appeal No. 1&2/2023 arising out of GR Case No. 262/2012 as some of the effective orders had been passed by the officer while serving as Chief Judicial Magistrate. 2. Learned counsel, Mr. Moa Jamir appears for the appellants/ respondent in both the criminal appeals No. 1&2/2023. Learned counsel for the appellants/ respondent submits that he has no objections if the matter is transferred. 3. Accordingly, in view of the power conferred under Section 447 of the BNSS, the criminal appeals No. 1&2/2023 arising out of GR Case No. 262/2012 pending before the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Kohima is hereby transferred to the court of District & Sessions Judge, Wokha, in the in interest of justice. The parties are directed to appear before the District & Sessions Judge, Wokha on 16.04.2026.
