This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the Court of VIII Additional District and Sessions Judge, Bengaluru Rural (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Family Court’) to dispose of G and WC No.21/2021, which is pending on its file time bound. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is the husband of respondent. The petitioner filed G and WC No.21/2021 seeking to permit him to meet his child Master Rudra physically/virtually once in a week until the G and WC No.21/2021 being adjudicated in the Family Court. It is also submitted that for the past three years, the proceedings before the Family Court have been - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:14521 WP No. 26044 of 2025 pending at the stage of cross-examination of PW.1. It is further stated that the child was only 8 years old at the time of filing of the guardianship petition and is now 13 years old. The prolonged pendency of the matter has caused severe emotional hardship to both the child and the petitioner. 4. Record discloses justification in the submission that is made by learned counsel for the petitioner. Therefore, this Court considers desirable to dispose of the writ petition and give directions. Hence, the following: ORDER (i) Writ petition is disposed of. (ii) The Court of VIII Additional District and Sessions Judge, Bengaluru Rural is directed to take all steps for disposal of G and WC No.21/2021 time bound preferably within a period of ten months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:14521 WP No. 26044 of 2025 (iii) This Court is not issuing the notice to the respondent as no adverse orders are passed and disposed of the petition is in the interest of both the parties. (iv) As the writ petition is disposed of without notice to respondent, Family Court is directed to serve copy of this order to respondent so as to give notice to respondent, about filing of this petition and its disposal.
