Pandey, Advocate For the State : Ms. Lily Sahay, APP …...... 02 /26.02.2026: This bail application has been filed under Sections 483 & 484 of BNSS, 2023 wherein, prayer has been made for grant of bail as they are in custody for allegedly committing offence punishable under Sections 317(5), 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Sections 12(1) of the Jharkhand Bovine Animal Prohibition of Slaughter Act and Sections 11(1)(d) and 11(1)(e) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. 2. Heard, learned counsel for the petitioners, learned counsel for the State and have also gone through the impugned order. 3. Learned APP opposes the prayer for bail. 4. The petitioners were transporting three bovine animals in a pickup van and they were apprehended. These petitioners are in custody since 13.10.2025. 5. Considering the period of custody and fact that chargesheet has already been submitted, I am inclined to grant bail to the petitioners. Accordingly, the petitioners, named above, are directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned JMFC-IX, 2026:JHHC:5704 2 Ranchi in connection with Jagarnathpur PS Case No. 402 of 2025 subject to the condition that one of the bailors should be a close relative of the petitioners, having sufficient landed property in his/her own name within the State of Jharkhand. 6.
