In compliance with the order dated February 2, 2026, the State has filed a status report regarding investigation. The relevant part of the report is quoted below : “In light of the foregoing, it is most respectfully submitted that the present case has been closed under order of Superiors and classified accordingly as “civil in nature”. The final report has already been submitted before Learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-II, Kolkata on 9/2/26 vide Bowbazar PS Final Report No.08/2026 Dated 8/2/26 (Certified copies of the same marked as A, B, C & D have been attached 2 herewith for your kind perusal) praying all the F.I.R. named accused persons who all are since not arrested into this case namely 1) Tankeswar Khan 2) Santanu Dutta 3) Abdul Samad all are of 14/1B, Ejra Street, Kolkata-700001, 4) Nirmal Kumar Mukim (since died on 04/06/24), S/O- Late Tarachand Mukim 5) Mrs. Alka Mukim W/O- Nirmal Kumar Mukim 6) Vikash Kumar Mukim S/O-Nirmal Kumar Mukim, sl.no-4 to 6 are of 6 Coloo Tola Street, Kolkata-700073 and also of 97/99/4 Satyam Apartment, 2nd floor, Sri Aurobindo Road, Golabari, Salkia, Howrah-711106 may be discharged from the case for want of evidence against them.” Let a copy of the report be kept with the record. In view of the aforesaid, there is no reason to keep this application pending. Accordingly, CRR 1200 of 2025 is disposed of. (Kausik Chanda, J.)
