No.24323 of 2026 ORDER: This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to declare the action of the respondents in not releasing the bill for an amount of Rs. 5,00,000/- as per M-book No. 422 / B / 2017- 2018, in respect of work done by the petitioner for construction of internal C.C. road from the houses of Ravi Subbarao to Puvvada Srinivasa Rao in Inkollu -3 Sachivalayam in Inkollu Village of Inkollu Mandal, Prakasham District pursuant to the agreement dated 19.08.2023 as illegal and consequently, direct the respondents Rs.5,00,000/- to the petitioner. 02. It is the contention of the petitioner that even though the respondents admit that the petitioner is entitled to the aforesaid amount, no payment has been made. The petitioner further contends that such non-payment of money is clearly arbitrary and high-handed, requiring interference of this Court. 03. On the other hand, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Gram Panchayat and Rural Development, while admitting about the claim of the petitioner, placed on record a copy of written instructions received from the Executive Engineer PRI PIU Division, Bapatla, vide Lr.RC. No.A2 / Court cases / 2025, dated 01.09.2026, stating that the amount payable to the petitioner i.e., Rs.4,40,446/- would be paid to the petitioner after release of funds by the government. 04. In view of the submissions made on both sides, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondents to release the admitted amount of Rs.4,40,446/- (four lakh forty thousand four hundred forty six rupees only) to the petitioner, along with the interest, payable if any, as per the entitlement, within a period of two (02) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3 BSB,J W.P. No.24323 of 2026 It is open to the petitioner to agitate the claim for higher rate of interest, if any, payable by the respondents, before an appropriate forum. There shall be no order as to costs.
